Buying on the Internet for French in tourism

Internet shopping ZenithOptimedia, VivaKi Advance and Microsoft Advertising advertising published in April an interesting infographic on the buying journey of travelers on the Internet.
We learn no great surprise that the 25% of French went abroad over the past 12 months, 56% bought on the Internet. The price remains the key waiting for the traveler. An Internet user in two favors the price to decide between two equivalent offers. 36% of Internet users mention the quality of information as a selection criterion, 34% for features or clarity of the site, and only 33% for the reputation of the website.
What about the photographs or videos? 62% of Internet users visit within 5 brand sites and only 25% go through the same actors. Travelers are thus less attached to brands in tourism.

During the decision cycle, users prefer the opinions and advice of other travelers to 70% of respondents, and 37% entourage. 30% of Internet users visit certain sites out of habit and most news sites on the trip. 's backpacker is the city.
This infographic also provided some trends.
Nevertheless, it should not generalize too much because the sample used for the quantitative study did not specify whether they are online representative of the French population. In addition, the buying journey is presented as far too linear. For example, the decision cycle (or the traveler in some cases) can indeed occur before and during the stay ... We select many activities during the stay according to the desires and / or proximity: you said Internet room? ;-)
