For this new hotel interview we asked questions M.Dowson, the owner of Hotel Le Paris-Barcelona to Perpignan. This property features 32 rooms with queen or twin beds are spread over two floors.
When did you decide to take this business?
I took over this property in 1982 and was built in 1870.
What is your job?
We must first satisfy the customer. The best advertising remains besides word of mouth. If the customer is satisfied, he can talk around it or even return.
Who is your customer?
We welcome an essentially used for short stay travelers. Our hotel is also conveniently located right next to the station of Perpignan. These are mostly Europeans. But the Japanese also reserve our school.
Why your business?
We prefer friendly and pleasant side of our business. Unlike other more luxurious hotels, we are rather in a family atmosphere.
What do you recommend to visit in your area?
Since we are right next door, I suggest you take a picture of Perpignan station that inspired Salvador Dalí. Then you can also explore the old town of Perpignan which still hides many traces of medieval times. You can also see the Palace of the Kings of Majorca, a beautiful building of the thirteenth century. You can also visit the Chapel of Our Lady of the Angels and the House of Catalanity. In winter, skiers can head to one of the ski resorts near Perpignan.
